About Us

Our company is a part of The Rehabilitation Projects Group (קבוצת פרוייקטים שיקומיים). The Group offers advanced rehabilitation services in the community. Since its foundation in 1998, the company is engaged in opening and operating specialized residential programs aiming at providing rehabilitation framework services and operation for the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Social Affairs. The Group operates nationwide: from Haifa in the North to Beer Sheba in the South, including Jerusalem. The company operates under the ISO 9001 standard since 2003. Nowadays a large number of hostels work in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Affairs in the areas of the Rehabilitation Department, Department of Child and Adolescent and Adult Probation Service.
 The service focuses on:
Operating national programs for the Rehabilitation Department patients intended for young adults suffering from behavior and adjustment difficulties combined with organic disorders, learning disabilities, borderline intelligence and sexual disorders. The programs operate within the range and on different protection levels, from an open program in the community, with high level of independence, open intensive surveillance program in the community, to high level of protection and intensive supervision programs. Operating national programs for the Adult Probation Service patients intended for adult sex offenders including dedicated treatment, cognitive behavioral therapy, individually or in groups, separately or together with other treatments.
 Our vision:
Promoting the residents’ abilities in various spheres of life, such as home functioning, social and employment-related skills, enabling them to maintain normal, satisfying and independent living with minimal external support and by taking personal responsibility.
 We believe that:
Everyone has the basic right to freely choose her/his life in the community to and be responsible for it without being tagged as a “handicapped” / "disabled " / "mentally ill". We believe that one's ability to choose is a basic right even for a person with judgmental difficulties. We believe that everyone should be a productive member of the society. We see it as our duty to tutor each resident to be a productive member of the society and to fulfill his/her right to make considered choices, while recognizing the basic right to make 'wrong' decisions (except in cases of harm to him/herself and/or others). The resident is the one leading the project and not merely participating in it. The hostel is a miniature model of society in which we live, with the help of organizations and processes that take place in the community in order to design a behavior adjusted to the life outside the hostel.
 Work principles in different programs:
The resident is responsible for his/her dreams accomplishment. Transparency in the decision making process regarding the resident, according to his/her cognitive and emotional abilities. Considered choice is based on knowledge and skills: the resources available / alternative actions / long-term planning / conflict resolution techniques.
The professional staff in the various programs:
The treatment team is multidisciplinary and includes social workers, dedicated therapists, psychotherapists with different specializations, psychiatric nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, occupational therapists, medical massage therapists, clinical nutritionists, educational coordinators, special education teachers, employment counselors, house mothers and rehabilitation counselors. The treatment team puts an emphasis on cooperation and joint thinking with therapeutic organizations in the community, which are relevant to the residents I order for their rehabilitation and progress in the hostel.
 Rehabilitation Department Programs:
Target audience:
Young adults suffering from behavior and adjustment disorders with organic causes, learning disabilities and borderline intelligence. Residents with drug and alcohol abuse problems are not accepted. This definition refers to the range of problems: Cognitive dysfunction and learning process problems - disruptions in judgment, difficulties in understanding the processes of cause and effect.
Emotional functioning disorders - over irritability, outbursts of anger and yelling, behavior problems being a danger to themselves and the environment.
Difficulties in regulating impulses - low frustration tolerance, inability to delay gratification, low stimulation threshold, lack of cooperation. Interpersonal relationships disorders - delinquent behavior, threats, abuse of the weak.
Judgment disorders -imitation without independent thinking that could be a dangerous factor, impulsive behavior, and more. Motor disorders - different genetic syndromes, such as fragile X syndrome, Tourette's syndrome and the like. On the basis of these difficulties most of the residents dropped out of various programs as part of the difficulty of integrating them into the community. These problems developed on the basis of different organic issues and environment that did not accept the challenging behavior of people with personality disorders, effect disorders, decreased cognitive functioning, poor judgment, epileptic seizures, and delusions. The complexity of this target audience has repeatedly caused the narrowing of the therapeutic focus, which was the reduction and / or extinction of challenging behavior toward themselves or the environment, and the neglect of other functional aspects. Within our unique rehabilitation framework, we have developed a model of personal care for each resident, relating to the complex difficulties each of them is facing, and with an emphasis on his / her strengths.
